Billy Quirke is a research manager with the UBC School of Population and Public Health, where he works to address current and emerging issues in work-related injury and illness. Billy holds a Master’s of Science from UBC and has been involved in men’s health for nearly a decade across self-started projects, work with the Big Brothers of Vancouver, and weight training coaching for men of the DTES Carnegie community centre.

He is the founder of ‘The Hunk Alert’, a weekly text message service that challenges Canadian men to claim their health. Recently, Billy launched a pub night panel series, ‘Dadtalks’, which aims to spark conversation across generations on health and happiness.
