Dr. Joan Bottorff
Dr. Joan Bottorff is a Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus. Her research program focuses on development of gender-sensitive interventions to support cancer prevention and health promotion. Her projects have involved developing interventions for men, including Dads in Gear, a smoking cessation program tailored for fathers, and Powerplay, a health promotion intervention for male dominated workplaces. She is Editor-in-Chief of Global Qualitative Nursing Research published by SAGE.
